How the daily Killer Sudoku works

Every date has one Killer Sudoku, rated Moderate. Everyone gets the same puzzle, and a new one appears at midnight in your own time zone. The grid is solved with logic only: start with the cages that have a single possible combination, apply the 45 rule, and keep narrowing the candidates in rows, columns and boxes. Nothing in the puzzle needs guessing.

    New to Killer Sudoku?

Learn the rules in two minutes, then read how to solve Killer Sudoku and the 45 rule. Keep the cage combinations chart or the calculator open while you play. If you prefer paper, there are free printable puzzles and a cheat sheet.

    Daily 3 in the app

In the CageDoku app the daily set has three puzzles: a Killer, a rotating variant (Thermo, Arrow, Kropki, Sandwich, Chess, Diagonal or Classic) and a quick 6×6. Finish them to build a streak. The app has no ads, and each hint names the technique and highlights the cells.

    Frequently asked questions

Is the daily Killer Sudoku really free?

Yes. The puzzle of the day on this page is free, needs no account and has no ads. The CageDoku app gives you the same Killer every day plus a rotating variant and a quick 6×6 puzzle.

Is it the same puzzle as in the CageDoku app?

Yes. The website and the app pick the daily Killer with the same rule, so on any given date you get the same puzzle in both. A new one appears at midnight in your time zone.

How hard is the daily Killer Sudoku?

It is rated Moderate: you need the unique cage combinations, the 45 rule and basic Sudoku logic, but no guessing. If you get stuck, the guides on this site explain every technique.

Where can I find the solution?

Press “Show solution” under the grid. Try to place a few digits first. In the app, the Hint button explains the next logical step instead of only revealing a digit.

    Can I print the puzzle?

Yes. Press “Print” to print the grid, with or without the solution. For more printable puzzles see the printable Killer Sudoku page.

    Practice it in CageDoku

Free, ad-free Killer Sudoku and seven more variants. Hints name the technique and highlight the cells, so you learn why a digit goes where it goes.
